Sunday, September 13 - Sips & Slices: A Global Tasting For The River Food Pantry - The River Food Pantry

Sips & Slices is going global! Grab a drink and embark on a culinary tour of the world as you sample internationally-inspired bites from a diverse array of local chefs. The afternoon also includes live music, a silent auction, paddle raise, wine pull, and raffles. 

Sunday, September 13 - Kids on the Prairie - Holy Wisdom Monastery

Kids on the Prairie (KOTP) is for children and their adult family members. Experienced volunteer educators and guides will facilitate a short hike to learn about nature and explore the grounds and trails. This free event is open to members of Holy Wisdom communities and the general public.

Saturday, September 19 - Walk to End Lupus Now - Madison - Lupus Foundation of America, Wisconsin Chapter

The 13th annual Greater Madison area walk! Join us as lupus warriors and their supporters converge at Firemen’s Park, united in a common cause: to find the cure for lupus.

Saturday, September 19 - I Choose Peace: Sound Healing & Guided Meditation - Holy Wisdom Monastery

This uniquely enchanting heart-centered experience invites you to explore the depths of world peace and love through the calming resonance of sound bowl healing, serene, guided meditations and space for reflective journaling.

Friday, September 25 - Saturday, September 26 - Fashion Finds Sale (formerly Classic Clothing Sale) - Attic Angel

Featuring new and gently used apparel and accessories, along with women’s designer clothing. The sale is held every autumn inside the Attic Angel Association building.

Tuesday, September 29 - Tuesday, November 24 - Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction - Holy Wisdom Monastery

No experience is necessary, this class welcomes beginners (and skeptics), as well as anyone with experience with mindfulness or contemplative practice. Come as you are – even thoughts, emotions and problems can be avenues for discovering more wisdom and compassion.

Wednesday, September 30 - Creating Food Security - Expert Panel Discussion - WayForward Resources

Food security has been a prominent topic in the news lately. Whether it’s rising grocery prices, upcoming eligibility changes to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), or alarming hunger statistics—there’s a lot of information to sort through.
