Education Committee

The Education Committee is dedicated to strengthening the partnership between local businesses and the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District. Members of the committee come from a wide variety of Chamber businesses as well as from various areas within the School District.

The Education Committee meets meets monthly:
2nd Thursday of the month at 7:30 a.m.
MASH building (the Alternative High School - 2429 Clark Street).

Mission :

The Middleton Chamber Education Committee will promote learning within the schools and community to ensure all students, parents and business partners have the experience, knowledge, values and opportunities to succeed in the workforce and contribute positively to the community.

Values :

Create a means of providing career information that will help develop school curriculum

• Provide business expertise and resources to the educational system
• Provide educational expertise and resources with in the business environment
• Educate students on the career opportunities in the area
• Educate students on what they have to do to pursue a specific career opportunity
• Educate students on earning potentials and salaries
• Prepare and educate students on career opportunities
• Providing students the appropriate skills to join the workforce
• Create opportunities to obtain and retain employees
• Expose students to local opportunities
• Give students a free peek into the local business community
• Educate parents on the opportunities
• Educate the community on the partnership between school and business
• Become an incubator for new ideas to help with build a stronger workforce and educational system
• Provide opportunities for students to join the local work force

Partners in Education
The Middleton/Cross Plains Area School District, the Middleton Chamber of Commerce and the Cross Plains Business Association have teamed up to develop the Partners in Education, Wisconsin Career Connection. The WC-Connection is a web-based tool that links business information and employment opportunities to students, school staff and community members.
